Purple Tuesday is being held on Tuesday 7th November this year. The day is a celebration to promote accessibility and inclusivity across all businesses in all sectors.
Purple Tuesday is a global social movement working to improve the customer experience for disabled and vulnerable customers and their families, 365 days a year. The initiative aims to inspire staff members and teams from businesses across all sectors to find and implement solutions to enhance accessibility in all areas of customer interaction within their business.
According to the World Health Organisation, 1.3 billion people are estimated to experience significant disability around the world – equivalent to 16% of the world’s population.
Purple Tuesday highlights the “Purple Pound”, the consumer spending power of disabled people and their families. The “Purple Pound” equates to £274 billion per year for UK businesses, and it’s rising at a rate of 14% per year!

Robyn, our Specialist Care Team Account Manager says,
“Purple Tuesday is a great initiative to raise awareness around the customer experience for disabled and vulnerable customers. We created our Specialist Care Team to help improve the experience for our customers who need extra support, as we want to ensure that all our customers are comfortable on their journey with us.
The most important thing you can do is talk to us. If you need some extra support, we’re here to provide it. Even if you think it’s only a small issue, we’re here to help, so whatever you have going on, don’t be afraid to ask to speak to us!”
