Steven owed more than £6,000 to eight different creditors. Over time, the debt became hard to manage, and some accounts were passed to a debt collection agency.
Steven has not been able to tell his partner about the debt and told us he was struggling to sleep.
After speaking to MoneyPlus, Steven set up a Debt Management Plan. We worked with him to agree an affordable monthly payment of £100, which includes our management fee. All interest and charges on his included debts were frozen.
Steven is now two years into his plan, with four years and six months left to go. In his most recent annual review, he told us he feels happier and no longer worries about unexpected bailiff visits. He knows what he is paying each month and feels confident he can keep going.

Plus step in and, and you know, they, they study things for me that meant a debt management plan where I could pay like an affordable amount each month.
And you know, they just, they just dealt with the creditors.
For me, it’s not instant, but you know, you start to feel the pressure, like lift off once everything’s under control.
