2024 – the Year of the Dragon – is predicted to bring opportunities, changes, and challenges. These can all be positive or negative depending on how you perceive them, and they’re all interlinked.
An opportunity you’ve always wanted may come your way, or it might be an unexpected new chance that arises, something you hadn’t considered before.
This new opportunity is likely to bring about change, and it could potentially involve some challenges. Conversely, if you’re presented with a challenge this year, you could use it as an opportunity to make a change.
Whatever this year throws your way, why not attack it with the mindset of a dragon?
Chinese New Year provides a great opportunity to build off the back of the goals you set back in January, whether these were financial goals, health goals, career goals or family goals. And we can harness the power of the dragon to help us achieve them!
Don your wings, feel the fire in your belly…
Dragons are strong, powerful, and capable. They have a hunger for adventure. They’re resourceful and ambitious, and will fight for success. There’s a lot we can learn from the majestic dragon…
Ambition drives the dragons to be fiercely passionate about achieving their goals. They’ll work hard to make their dreams a reality, and will fight hard to become successful.
These qualities are something that we can take for ourselves, and try to emulate when reaching our goals! We may not be as focused and dedicated as a dragon though, and that’s okay – after all, we’re human!
We need time to relax, decompress, and step away from our goals from time to time so that we don’t become overwhelmed and stressed. We also have plenty of other things to think about in this modern world: paying the bills, budgeting for the weekly shop, what chores need to be done at home, what we have on at work… whereas a dragon has a little more luxury – food, a place to live…that’s about it!
It can also take time to build a habit – research has found that the average time it takes to build a habit is 66 days. It may not come naturally to us to dedicate a huge amount of our energy towards realising our ambitions, but if we start small by building one small aspect of ambition and drive into our day-to-day lives, over time this will become second nature and we’ll do it automatically without even thinking about it.
Before we know it, we’ll have smashed our goals and be flying high among the top dragons! See you in the sky…we can’t wait to see what the view is like! 🐉
