Authorisations and regulatory bodies

MoneyPlus Advice is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under firm reference number 631217. As we’re FCA regulated, this means we follow strict rules to protect our customers. There are several important processes we follow, including:

  • Debt advice (CONC 8): We provide advice and offer appropriate debt solutions that suit your needs.
  • Client assets (CASS): We make sure your money is safe and managed according to FCA guidelines.
  • Systems & controls (SYSC): We have strong systems in place to manage risks effectively.
  • Anti-money laundering & financial crime (MLRS): We take steps to prevent financial crime and comply with anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Financial promotions & communications (CONC 3): We ensure all our marketing and communications are clear, fair, and not misleading.
  • Dispute resolution – complaints (DISP): We have a clear process for handling complaints fairly and promptly.

Data Protection and GDPR

At MoneyPlus, protecting your personal data is a top priority. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under number Z242578. Complaints Handling

We take customer complaints seriously and have a clear process for addressing them. Customers can file a complaint by emailing us at complaints@moneyplus.com, through our customer portal, or by calling 0161 837 4000.

In accordance with FCA DISP rules, if a complaint is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate it to the Financial Ombudsman Service. You can find the detailed procedures for complaints about Debt Management Plans (DMPs) and Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) on our website.

Certifications

MoneyPlus holds several important certifications that demonstrate our commitment to regulatory compliance. Our senior managers must prove their fitness for their roles to the FCA under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). Anel Andrew, our registered Insolvency Practitioner, is certified with the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA) with licence number 17170, and MoneyPlus Insolvency Ltd is registered with the number 08214793. We’re also registered with the ICO to ensure we protect your data appropriately.

Monitoring and Reporting

To remain compliant, we regularly review our policies and practices. We audit our marketing materials to ensure they meet FCA standards for accuracy and fairness. We also perform due diligence on our partners and review our customer interactions to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Each year, we submit a Consumer Duty report to the FCA, demonstrating our commitment to upholding these standards.

Risk Management

We have comprehensive system to identify and manage risks related to compliance, in alignment with the FCA’s guidelines. Our policies on conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, whistleblowing, and information security helping us manage risks and uphold our commitment to ethical practices.
